What is the Talent Partnership?

The SuperTech Talent Partnership is an innovative initiative aimed at developing the regional talent pool, by driving exciting collaboration between firms throughout the cluster by linking them with selected training partners who have a demonstrable track record of impact in the region in our primary sectors.

The Talent Partnership better connects the regional talent pool with high value job opportunities. The West Midlands already has a broad portfolio of education, skills and training providers, and our aim is to bring key partners together in a collective capable of enhancing the level of ProfTech talent in the region. These key partners are already actively nurturing the development of essential talent in a broad range of skills relevant to the ProfTech sectors.

What kind of skills are included?

The Talent Partnership connects our business community with an under-tapped pipeline of high-quality skills, including software development, AWS cloud engineers, IT support, cybersecurity, data engineers, data analytics, retrofit advisors, tech returners, upskilling of existing staff and more.

Working with our West Midlands Talent Partners we make sure organisations can collaborate with upskilling and pipeline development experts to access the skills and talent needed to build truly transformational teams. 

OUR TALENT PARTNERS

GENERATION

Generation provides skills bootcamps that train, support and places people into roles, otherwise inaccessible to them. They work with employers to place highly-skilled, motivated talent they need. By providing a range of high quality 9-12 week tech programmes teaching tech as well as behaviours and mindsets needed to be successful for roles such as Cloud Support Practitioners, IT Support Technicians, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts. We underpin this with extensive mentoring and coaching support.

What Generation offer:

  • Develop talent for Cloud Engineers, IT support technicians, Data Engineers and Data Analysts 

  • Provide pathways for people in the region facing significant barriers to employment 

  • Provide extensive mentoring and coaching for trainees, which develop  behaviours  and mindsets  

CODE INSTITUTE

Code Institute is an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ Independent Training Provider specialising in digital and tech-enabled careers. They deliver transformative training programmes in Software Development, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed to upskill individuals and empower businesses by identifying and providing solutions for critical digital skill gap areas. In partnership with the WMCA, they’re upskilling existing employees and supplying qualified, local tech talent through fully-funded training initiatives. Their Data Analytics & AI programmes are industry-driven and focused on real-world application.

What Code institute offer:

  • Transformative training programmes in Software Development, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) 

  • Closing the region’s digital skills gap - upskilling existing employees and supplying qualified, local tech talent through fully-funded training initiatives. 

  • Our innovative AI Maturity Framework helps businesses of all sizes assess and accelerate their AI transformation journey – at no cost.

ALTHAUS

Althaus Digital is an Ofsted Outstanding provider specializing in digital apprenticeships and government-funded bootcamps. They deliver impactful training and reskilling solutions tailored to the BPFS sectors, supporting both emerging talent and the professional development of existing employees in digital and technology-focused roles. Eligible employees earning £34,000 or less can access fully funded digital bootcamps whilst giving you opportunities to consider junior hires from the same cohort.

What Althaus Digital offer:

AHEAD PARTNERSHIP

Professional services and ProfTech are brought to life for young diverse people through this programme of exciting employer-led activity. Led by Growing Talent WM, activities are co-designed and delivered in partnership with firms according to the age and skills focus of the young people involved. Collaborative opportunities include careers panels, guest speeches, masterclasses, sector insight days, speed networking, live brief challenges and large flagship events such as #GirlTechWM.

DIGITAL INNOVATORS

Supporting young people access tech careers, Digital Innovators offers a solution based on the principles of Digital Transformation. Their consultancy-led approach to solving business problems, whilst providing people in vocational education (from local FE colleges) with the skills employers need, creates alternative career pathways to entry level roles via apprenticeships. Regardless of discipline, these ‘digital natives’ have the knowledge and potential to bring innovative digital transformation solutions to businesses across many sectors.

NETCOM

A dynamic and forward-thinking training provider, passionate about driving careers within IT, tech and digital. Their courses are delivered by inspirational tutors with an outstanding approach to teaching and learning, backed by a team of career coaches who support your ongoing journey. Always with the aim to elevate our tech workforce so both individuals and employers can stand-out from the crowd.

What Netcom offer:

  • Courses in Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Software Development, Cloud Technologies, IT Support, and AI applications.
