LEGAL AI ADOPTION & EVALUATION TOOLKIT
Following the work we’ve done through our Legaltech Open Innovation Lab our independently-tested toolkit that shows legal organisations how to evaluate, adopt and get real value from AI will be live from 15th October.
Created through the Lawtech Open Innovation Lab on Benchmarking AI which was part funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority, the toolkit is built on real-world testing of AI tools against legal workflows. It is tool agnostic, suitable for organisations at any stage of AI adoption, and can be used by legal professionals at every level of seniority, from junior lawyers through to partners and innovation leaders.
The toolkit includes evaluation scorecards, practical use cases, adoption guidance and best-practice recommendations to support more informed and responsible AI adoption across the legal sector, including legal clinics to improve pro bono and access to justice. It is also a useful tool for tech vendors to support market alignment within the legal sector.
The West Midlands LawTech sector is rapidly emerging as a hub for innovation, driven by strong collaboration between legal firms, tech start-ups, universities, and regional support organisations.
With increasing investment and focus on digital transformation, the region is becoming a key player in reshaping how legal services are delivered across the UK.
