Co-Founder of Million Labs and FinTech Co-Lead for SuperTech

Jof is a banking innovator responsible for several firsts to market, who has also acquired and sold almost fifty companies, and now owns Million Labs which helps founders to launch start-ups with no-code. Last year Million Labs launched around 250 start-ups, which created an estimated 500 jobs.

David joined Wesleyan in April 2019, after spending over a decade at Lloyds Banking Group. He has responsibility across Wesleyan for Change & Transformation, Technology, Cyber Security, Data & Analytics, Customer Operations, Procurement and Workplace Services.

Simon began his career in the family property business based in the Midlands and then went on to form a consultancy business, pioneering data-driven property asset management and development for multi-billion-pound land and property organisations. This culminated in the market release to the mainstream industry of in-house data and software, now used by over 80,000 investors, developers and property professionals from the UK & overseas.

CEO and Founder, CrowdProperty

With a background in strategy consultancy advising leading international companies and private equity funds on M&A and corporate strategy, Mike has been investing in property since 2002. Mike is an active angel investor in PropTech, FinTech and marketplace businesses, investing in high potential PropTech businesses since 2014, and sits on the Investment Committee of Pi Labs, Europe’s first and most prolific venture capital fund investing exclusively in early stage ventures in the PropTech vertical. CrowdProperty is a PropTech/Fintech innovator and the UK's leading specialist property development lending platform, based in Birmingham.

An Executive Director, Ashley is a senior leader in CBRE’s Midlands and South business specialising in office consultancy, development, acquisition, and disposal. With over 25 years’ experience, Ashley has gained a wealth of knowledge in a wide variety of projects and is the local champion for CBRE’s PropTech offer, engaging with developers, investors and proco’s.

Vipul is a 10+ year Technology lawyer, specialising in AI, having worked most recently for DLA Piper and advised leading AI companies and Government departments on commercialisation & risk strategies, regulatory compliance, and specialist AI agreements. Vipul now runs 108 AI which is a promising tech company developing high-accuracy AI products for the Legal sector. 

CLIFF DENNETT

Head of Commercial, Bruntwood SciTech

Cliff has grown his own technology company and worked in large tech companies for over 30 years. More recently he looks after the commercials for the UK’s largest operator of science parks and innovation districts. Cliff’s current focus is growing the Bruntwood SciTech campuses; Innovation Birmingham and the Birmingham Health Innovation Campus.

CARL POTTER

Avison Young

Carl Potter is an Avison Young Principal specialising in development consultancy transactions and has been involved in some of the leading regeneration and new development projects across the region. Carl advises a number of developers, local authorities and universities - both on estate strategies and their science park operations,

He joined Avison Young in 1986 and was first appointed to the Partnership Board in 2000. Following this Carl was part of the five-person Operations Executive who oversaw the day-to-day running of the firm. In 2008 Carl was appointed National Head of Office Agency, a position he held for 10 years before implementing change in order to take over the role as Managing Director of the Birmingham office in May 2018 and Chair of the AYUIK Board in 2019. Carl continues to sit on Avison Young’s Global Board Nominating Committee and leads the company's Science and Technology Park capabilities.
